Dear PTCO's/PTO's, Thank you to all of you who have completed the training, and for the feedback we've received so far. It seems that there may have been some confusion on who needs to complete the training and which training sections need to be completed. In short: ALL MEMBERS OF YOUR PTCO/PTO EXECUTIVE BOARD NEED TO COMPLETE ALL THREE SECTIONS OF TRAINING.


You may be asking yourself, "Why do we all need to do it if they are for presidents and treasurers?" The answer is: "Because each member of your executive board needs to know and understand all of the policies and procedures that it takes to run the board!" Should someone have to leave, and another person step up, they need to know what to do! Should there be some type of disagreement on how to run a meeting or event, each member should already know and understand what the actual policies are. These policies and procedures are important because they protect you as a PTCO/PTO, the Parents' Council as the non-profit entity covering each individual PTCO, and the district itself from any potential fraudulent or criminal activities! We are also asking each principal/asst principal who attends to also take the training if you have the time. Since there was some confusion, we are extending the deadline for completion of training until NOVEMBER 30, 2020. Please complete all three sections by this date, and don't forget to fill out the completion for each section as you complete them.
