As a reminder all PTCO's are required to have at least 1 representative at all Parent's Council meetings. The representative does not have to be on your executive board but can be a parent volunteer who reports back to your board.
Summer is the perfect time to recharge, explore new opportunities and get a head start on the year ahead. Check out the activities and resources available this summer to stay engaged and set yourself up for success before school starts again.
Review Signatures required on Bank authorizations and update with new board as needed
Review year-end Treasurer’s reports/year-end bank balances
Set up Financial Review to be done by Review Committee with checklist forwarded to Parents’ Council once completed
Review Cash/Credit Card/Check Handling Policy to see if any changes need to be made
Review Bylaws to see if any changes need to be made.Review Budget for anticipated revenue and expenses for the next year
Review Grant awarding policy for any changes that need to be made.
Download Parents’ Council Annual Affiliation Letter from website, update, sign and send to Parents’ Council with a copy of your approved budget for the new year
Request from district an accounting/refund of any unused PTO funds
Review signatures required on the Bank authorization forms & update as needed
Review year end Treasurer's Report & Bank balances
Assist with the Financial Review to be done by Review Committee with checklist forwarded to Parent's Council

The purpose of Cherry Creek Parents' Council is to promote the exchange of ideas among parent representatives of all schools in Cherry Creek and to serve as a vehicle of communication within the District for parents, teachers, administrators, the Board of Education and the community.
Parents’ Council serves as a valuable resource to our PTO/ PTCO* communities. The schools in our district are greatly enriched by the programs that are provided by your PTO/PTCO.
*Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and Parent Teacher Community Organization (PTCO) used interchangeably
Our Board consists of volunteers of parents and community members. At our meetings, you will hear from our Superintendent of Schools, our School Board members and guest speakers on topics of interest to our PTO/PTCO communities.
Cherry Creek Parents’ Council is a separate entity from Cherry Creek School District. We partner with Cherry Creek School District and our goal is to be a resource for PTCOs within the district, and to help school PTCOs run their non-profit organizations as effectively and smoothly as possible.
